VGA’s 09: Green Day: Rock Band Announced
The band leaked it themselves earlier this year, but now it’s official. Coming in 2010 is Green Day: Rock Band. Now whilst I’m sure fans are loving this, I don’t think it’s as bad as it sounds. Sure there’s a load of different bands that deserve this more than Green Day, but I don’t mind this much.
As far as I can tell, this won’t be too disimilar to the fab four’s Rock Band iteration. Billy Joe and the guys have in game models and, apparently, all of their imagery and favourite venues are going to be included. The one thing that’s surely going to be different (other than the music, obviously) is that the music will be importable to Rock Band proper. Surely?

i actually like the idea, I’ve noticed that other blogger didn’t like to see that because they say that its not for them and for a much younger generation but their songs have meanings and i like it.

To be honest, I don’t really see a problem with it. I’m a Rock Band fan, so I hope it doesn’t interfere with the development of Rock Band 3, but I see this as a good thing, Back in the day, when they were somewhat of a punk band, Green Day had some good songs. I’m quite looking forward to this actually. It’s got to be better than 21st Century Breakdown.
However if you want music with a meaning, there are far better examples than these guys.
