New Platinum Games/Shinji Mikami Project Revealed

Shinji Mikami, the creator of Resident Evil has unveiled his new project for the first time. The new game is currently going under the name Vanquish and appears to be based on a futuristic attack on New York City (as if they haven’t suffered enough!). This is also the new game from, Bayonetta developer, Platinum Games which makes it doubly intriguing.

The official tag line simply reads  ”when America comes under attack by an overwhelming force, it’s up to you to make a stand”

Sounds very generic video game to me but you can’t judge a book by its cover. We shall wait and see if it proves to be as successful as his last game. That was Resident Evil 4 by the way. Check out the trailer, courtesy of GameTrailers after the jump.
