Ubisoft Announce Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Ubisoft have announced that there will be a new addition to the Prince Of Persia franchise in 2010. However, it’s not going to follow on from the ‘reboot’. Instead Ubisoft have decided to make the new game that, as the name suggests, follow the ‘Sands Of Time’ story arc.

The game will apparently feature “many of the fan-favorite elements” alongside “new gameplay innovations that gamers have come to expect from the Prince of Persia brand.”

Whilst it’s nice to see a return of the ‘Sands…’ series, I’d bet that this might have something to do with a certain movie releasing next year.

The first trailer for the game will air during the Spike Video Game Awards. The game is set for release in May 2010.
