TrICO Is…

Bloody hell, like everyone TPSN towers has been blown away with the mass of stuff announced/shown at this year’s E3, so much so that we haven’t been able to post anything for close to two days. Anyway…let’s get back on topic. Project TrICO was shown of during Sony’s E3 presser. One word: Amazing.

That’s right the latest project to come out of Ueda’s Team ICO was shown off to a round of gasps and rapturous applause at Sony’s conference on Tuesday. The footage shown was an extended version (I think) of what was ‘leaked’ just prior to E3 by the guys over at PlayStationLifestyle. It might have been the same footage, but the polish has been turned up to 11 and it looks amazing. The project was also officially named at the show, I mean you didn’t think it’d be called TrICO did you? The game is called “The Last Guardian”. As unimportant as it is, I think the name is really cool, even if it could be the name of a Daniel Craig movie.

As a fan of both of Team ICO’s previous titles, ICO and Shadow Of The Colossus, I can’t wait for this one and I’m sure that anyone who’s played those games will feel the same. We’ve got no more details on the game thus far apart from that footage and it’s name. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw it towards the end of next year though.
