The Sims 3 Coming To Consoles

EA, today, officially announced that The Sims 3 would be heading to a console near you – marking the first time the best-selling PC franchise will be available on a current generation system.

The console versions, which are set to launch towards the back end of 2010, boast a few “all new” features, such as “Karma powers” that control how lucky your Sim is. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions also have Facebook conectivity, so you can share your accomplishments with your friends.

The game’s executive producer, Sam Player, said: “We’re bringing players the best console and handheld game for The Sims franchise to date and are excited to offer a unique experience for all types of gamers on their platform of choice”.

With the franchise already generating $2.5 billion in revenue, EA must be drooling at the prospect of even more Sim families.
