The Beatles Coming To Rock Band & Not Guitar Hero?

The Beatles coming to a rhythm action game has been one of the hottest rumors surrounding the genre since, well, forever. It now looks like this rumor could become fact. MTV have sent out a press release saying that they’re holding a press conference tomorrow about an “exclusive agreement to develop a global music project.”.

MTV owns Harmonix (makers of Rock Band e.t.c.) and also owns Apple Corps. who have administrated all Beatles releases since the 1960′s. Said press release mentions one of the key PR people representing Rock Band 2, which is one of the main things that has sparked up the rumor mill on this one.

Back in June the Financial Times mentioned that both Harmonix and Activision had been trying to secure a deal with Apple Corps., could it be that this is the result? Of course Activision could make a similar announcement, who knows? If it’s true this is the megaton of all megatons. I might be a Manc but you gotta love the Beatles, even if they are Scouse.

We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to find out, ooh I can’t wait.
