TheSixthAxis have discovered a few of the games that have got this implemented. Pressing triangle on the trophy screen of MAG will allow you to choose between ‘Core’ trophies and those implemented via add-on packs.

The following games have been confirmed to have this ‘feature’  by TSA. Can you find any more?

• MAG
• Darksiders
• Gravity Crash
• ZEN Pinball

This also seems to confirm that MAG will be getting downloadable content in some form, which seemed obvious really. I’m sure THQ said Darksiders wouldn’t have DLC. There’s some questions need answering here.

Anyone thinking they want some, trophy filled, Star Wars action should go and get this. You should find it quite cheap. However, if you haven’t got it yet and want the DLC, you might want to wait for the ‘new’ version of the game.

This sounds promising. As a massive MGS4 fan, I would love to see a trophy patch and, although I am planning on playing it again, a trophy patch would certainly sweeten the deal. Please, Kojima (or someone at Kojima Productions) just give me, and the rest of us fans, a simple “yes” or “no”.

Just a little bit of, I guess, site news. Our ‘King Of Comments’ Ad’s has finally hit 1,000 trophies. I just thought this was pretty cool and should surely show that we are ‘proper hardcore’ (god I love that phrase) here at TPSN.

For those who want to know, I’m still sat at 698 trophies.

When  we, as XeNonX, told you what our most anticipated games of 2008 were. Many were surprised that EA Sports’ annual football/soccer title FIFA (in this case FIFA 09) made it pretty high on both mine and Ad’s’ lists.

Then at the beginning of this year it was time for the first (and last) ‘XeNonX Game Of The Year Awards’. There FIFA was ‘awarded’ ‘Best Sports Game 2009′. So, you see, my point is that FIFA 09 is a damn good game. Well now it’s got trophies.

A few months back EA announced that a new mode ‘FIFA 09: Ultimate Team’ would be released on March 19th and would come with trophies. With this announcement I asked (to myself) “Why not just add trophies to the whole game?” (or something along those lines). Well my prayers were answered, as a few days later EA announced full trophy support for FIFA 09.

Well that day that I, like many others, have been waiting for has arrived and the FIFA trophy patch is now live. What a joyious occasion.

Sony have announced that gamers will soon be able to track their trophies via PlayStation.com. Players will be able to check their trophy count and their level via the website and prove how good they are at whoring trophies when they’re away from their console.

The update is now live so go on and check out your precious silverware online. Hopefully this sort of tech will be made available to third parties (e.g. PlayFire) soon enough. The update will also allow people to look at their trophies in “interesting” ways, which sounds alright I guess.

It’s about time Sony got their act together with online intergration. It’s something Xbox.com has been touting for ages (since release perhaps?). Either way it’s good Sony have done this, at least their listening…right?

It has been revealed that with the new update FIFA 09 will be getting full trophy support. Earlier this week it was announced that a new downloadable pack, ‘Ultimate Team’, would bring some trophies to the game but now it has come to light that a full set of trophies is to be implemented in a free patch.

The patch is going to be released alongside the downloadable content on March 19th. It’d have been nice to see it earlier, but I guess it makes sense to release both at the same time.

FIFA is one of my favourite PS3 games, so i’m sure i’ll be going for Platinum in this one, I think I know someone else who will too.

I told you that Bethesda don’t wait around once there’s info out there. The latest update, which includes trophies and a number of game fixing changes. The game no longer stalls when you recieve notifications, which is great and means I can get to playing the game, albeit from the beginning, again.

The patch is only available in Europe at the time of writing, but i’m sure it’ll make it’s way across the atlantic soon enough.

The PlayStation Blog has informed us that the recently announced trophy patch will go live at sometime today. Said patch adds 1,000 new levels to the game as well as the aformentioned trophies. It is also hinted that there will be more updates for the black and white puzzler sometime in the future.

At the time of writing the patch is yet to go live, but I trust the PS Blog, so i’m sure it’ll turn up at some point.

VideoGamer.com is reporting that ‘Trophies’ will be a mandatory inclusion on all PlayStation 3 games as of January. The site recieved confirmation of this from an SCEE representative, currently I cannot access the site and cannot provide the quote, which is dumb. I will update as soon as I can though.

This is a a good sign. Personally, I was getting a little sick and tired of wondering if companies would or wouldn’t be supporting trophies and it looks like, as of January, that’ll be a thing of the past. The sheer ammount of games that have added, or launched with, trophy support has been staggering. I think we can expect that most companies are putting them in at this point anyway, but it’s nice to see it being made mandatory. It looks like the ‘Trophy Patch’ is almost a thing of the past, come on Bethesda get working.
