This marks a return of the franchise to home consoles and it’s coming complete with flight. That’s right, you’ll be able to fly helicopters in Twisted Metal. The vehicular slaughter-fest is coming in 2011. The game is playable on the show floor. Look for my preview soon.

PlayStaion Plus will give players access to a host of new features and, as promised, all of the current features will still be available free of charge. Those paying the $49 a year subscription (or $18 every three months) will get access to:

• Exclusive DLC and other content
• Free full games that change monthly
• Early access to some demos and betas
• An auto-patching feature

The service will be available next month. Subscribers will receive WipEout HD, an inFamous demo, Fieldrunners, Age Of Zombies, Rallycross and a bunch of themes, avatars and stuff like that. There’s a catch though, if you decide to unsubscribe you lose all access to the free content you’ve downloaded.

Earlier today, the site revealed that Kratos would be making a return to the PSP in God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta. Sony have also confirmed, Chains Of Olympus developer, Ready At Dawn will be at the helm. Scott Steinberg, vice president of product marketing at Sony America, said in a press release: “Excitement for the God of War franchise is at an all-time high and we’re thrilled to continue that momentum with God of War: Ghost of Sparta,”.

Ghost Of Sparta is promised to “showcase Kratos on PSP like never before” and will be set between the first two games in the franchise. According to Sony, the team at Ready At Dawn will be using “state-of-the-art visual technologies” that will allow “higher quality environments and characters.” Also, the new game is said to offer “over 25% more gameplay” than the previous PSP attempt.

Looks like this’ll be one we’ll be hearing more about come E3.

Over the next few months PSP owners will be able to experience games like Fat Princess, ModNation Racers, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. It’s looking that won’t be the end of the fun though,  Sony Computer Entertainment America are planning on releasing a further 15 titles for the system, including: Finger Connection and Ramen Heaven.

It sounds like the majority of these games are going to be smaller efforts, but will not be put under the Mini’s label as they’ve only been rated for the handheld and not the PS3. Sony have been contacted, but are yet to give any more information.

That’s a pretty good list. It’s surprising to see the LBP GOTY Edition and the God Of War Collection on that list. If you haven’t gotten those yet, don’t hesitate. Yay for cheap(er) fun!

Hopefully this will be a small issue that is easily fixed with a patch and not something more damaging. We will obviously keep you informed as details filter through.

It doesn’t really come as a surprise, most of the marketing push has been focused on Europe, something I certainly saw as a bad move. Sony have always stressed the importance of their ‘family’ games and EyePet could’ve been the piece of software to, finally, launch the movement across the pond.

It was announced, last month at TGS, that the game would be getting support for Sony’s motion controller. Maybe SCEA see EyePet as something that could boost sales of this new product, rather than it being something to attract those who already own a PlayStation 3.

However, if you really want it, you could just import it.
