PS Phone In Future?

According to Japan’s Nikkei business daily, Sony, starting next month, will begin the process of designing a “cellphone-game gear hybrid”. This is most likely looking to combat apples iPhone. Will this be like a touch screen only phone like the iPhone, or more along the lines of the PSP? If it is more like the PSP, what does that mean for the future of Sony’s current handheld?
