Harmonix have finally released some info concerning their PSP title, Rock Band: Unplugged.
Little gas been known about the game since it’s unveiling a few months back in Phoenix, but now we get to show you guys what to expext from the portable music game.
EA have announced that the game will be launched in June and that, like previously assumed, it will work in the same way Harmonix’s Amplitude worked on PS2. Players will use their hands to control the beats on screen and, presumably, the game will switch between bass, guitar, drum and vocal tracks.
EA have also said that the regular modes from Rock Band/Rock Band 2 will be in there including ‘World Tour’ and a new mode called ‘Warm Up’. This, combined with over 40 master recordings (nine of which are exclusive to Unplugged) is sure to be a hit when the game launches. Those nine exclusives can be seen below.
- 3 Doors Down – Kryptonite
- AFI – Miss Murder
- Alice In Chains – Would?
- Audioslave – Gasoline
- Black Tide – Show Me The Way
- Blink 182 – What’s My Age Again?
- Freezepop – Less Talk, More Rokk
- Jackson 5 – ABC
- Tenacious D – Rock Your Socks
As I said, these tracks will be excluisve to the PSP version of the game before becoming downloadable content for the other platforms in the future. The Jackson 5 is pretty cool and, to be honest, I like playing the Blink tracks so that’s cool too. I wonder if EA plan on giving those who own the PSP game a code to download the songs for free? Nah, I doubt it this is EA we’re talking about.
Check out the screens below and the trailer after the jump.
