PlayStation Phone: ‘Where There’s Smoke…’
The stories of both the PlayStation Phone and PSP2 are interesting. It feels like a ‘will they, won’t they’ moment in a cheap TV drama. Well Sony Ericsson seem to be leaning in for the kiss, that’s if Bert Nordberg is to be believed. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Sony Ericsson’s Chief Executive commented on the rumored hardware: “There’s a lot of smoke, and I tell you there must be a fire somewhere.”
Nordberg continued with his cryptic answering later in the interview. When asked why his company hadn’t partnered with the PlayStation brand he replied: “I haven’t dug into that history, but the future might be brighter.”
The WSJ speculates that the phone is in development and will carry Sony Ericsson’s Experia branding. I guess we’ll have to wait for the next leak or executive comment.
