Playable Johnny Cash in Guitar Hero 5

As big a fan of Rock Band that I am, I can’t help myself wanting to play the new Hero games when there’s so many guest appearances. DJ Jazzy Jeff was confirmed to be playable in DJ Hero last week and now ActiBlizz have announced that, late country legend, Johnny Cash will be playable in Guitar Hero 5.

Alongside the arrival of the Man In Black, Activision Blizzard also said that “some” of the tracks from Guitar Hero’s World Tour and Smash Hits could be imported into the new game. Something that will be familiar to Rock Band owners. Also announced was that 125 of the 128 DLC tracks will also work in the game. Something which is good for GH players, but something not unheard of.

I’m excited about the arrival of Mr. Cash, but I still don’t think it’d convince me to play the game more than Rock Band. Now, if you put Morrissey in there. Well that’d be a whole ‘nother ball game. Check out IGN’s video of JC below.
