PixelJunk 3-Pack For Asia

Siliconera are reporting that a ’3-pack’ of PixelJunk games (Racers, Monsters & Eden) could be coming to a shop near you soon. It has been reported that this pack will be hitting the Asian market this month. It came as a surprise to me that this was going to be a retail release, I expected that the three games would be bundled as a download but maybe this makes more sense. Hopefully, it’ll alert the masses to how good Q-Games are and that they should be downloading future PJ games.

Although it was announced by Sony Computer Entertainment Asia, SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment America) have come out and said there is no ”official announcements at this time about the PixelJunk series.” and at the time of writing SCEE have failed to comment on the game’s release.

I expect that there’ll be a few goodies thrown in there too. You would hope that the expansions to the games will be included in this bundle, but it seems like a blu-ray disc would be too big not to include other PixelJunk related stuff, the soundtracks would be a cool addition.

Hopefully we’ll get some sort of confirmation that this game will be reaching those of us in the West. It seems like a no brainer and would make a good pack in game for Sony. I wonder if this means ‘Racers’ will, finally, be getting a trophy patch? I wouldn’t expect it, but then again, every game submitted to Sony after January has to have trophy support dosen’t it (except 50 Cent for some reason). I don’t know what the policy is with re-releases is though. I will try and find out though.
