Pearl Jam’s New Album Releasing Simultaneously At Retail, In Rock Band

We write a lot about Rock Band at TPSN and because of that we also seem to write a hell of a lot about Pearl Jam. The band are slowly becoming one of the darlings of rhythm-action games. They’ve already released a slew of tracks for Rock Band 2, including their album TEN, and now their latest album will be releasing day in date at retail and in Rock Band.

Billboard spoke with the band and have confirmed that the new album, “Backspacer”, will be “available on Rock Band the day it comes out”. As an additional bonus, those who purchase the album at Target will get a download code, giving them a few more PJ tracks to add to their Rock Band library. Certainly not a concept that the band, and their fans, are unfamiliar with.

The album will be released on September 20th and will be available on PSN the same day.
