Capcom have announced that the re-release of their classic fighter, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, will be released on PSN two weeks LATER than on XBLA. I mean, come on Capcom. What’s up with that?
The Japanese supremos haven’t given a reason for the PS3 delay, but it’s more than likely to tie in with the retail release. The disc-based version will cost $5 more than the downloadable version, but does contain a whole host of other content that fans of the game are sure to love.
The retail release is said to contain:
- A DVD with exclusive wallpapers
- An 8-page manual
- One month’s access to Marvel’s Digital Comics service
- 2,000 Capcom Unity Points
There’s no official word on this from Capcom. In fact, the last thing they said was that they “had no comment at this time”. Hopefully this will be cleared up sooner rather than later.
The game will release on PSN on August 13th for $15. No European pricing has been announced as of yet.
