Music Unlimited Headed To PS3 & PSP

Sony today announced a new music on demand service. Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity is headed PlayStation 3 and PSP before the year is out.

The new “cloud based” service will be available on a number of Sony’s media devices and will allow users to access “millions of songs.” The service is currently only confirmed for Europe, but more details are to be announced soon. Hopefully other regions don’t get shafted on this, like they did with VidZone – Sony’s last music-based service.

Other compatible devices include: Sony Bravia TV’s, Blu-Ray players and VAIO computers and will be controlled via a single account. It sounds a lot like a Sony equivalent to the Zune pass. Whether it works out or not, only time will tell.
