Mass Effect 2 Headed To PS3
That’s right, it’s finally happened!
After month’s of me saying that EA would bring Mass Effect to the PlayStation 3, it’s finally a reality. BioWare’s Ray Muzyka made the announcement that the, previously 360-exclusive, sci-fi RPG would be headed to PS3 in “January 2011″. The announcement was made this morning at EA’s Gamescom press conference in Germany, just hours after Amazon listed the game for release on Sony’s console.
Amazon dated the game for “January 31st 2011″, which matches what Dr. Ray announced today and called: “friggin awesome”. An EA press release also states that the PS3 version will come complete with “hours of bonus content”, so we can assume that all of the current downloadable content will be included in there too – a ‘Game Of The Year’ edition, perhaps?
The only down side to this is that the original game won’t be making a journey across the console divide. Then again, it’s to be expected seeing as the original game was Microsoft published.
