Q1 is getting pretty crowded and, to be honest, i’m pretty sick of hearing the, infamous, first quarter being used as a tentative release date. So it was nice to finally get a date on one of the masses of first quarter games.

Sony have announced that MAG, previously subtitled: Massive Action Game, would be coming out in North America on January 26th 2010. Zipper Interactive’s massive online shooter has been highly anticipated by, almost, the whole industry. Probably just to see if they can pull it off.

I think this is a good date for the game. It’s coming just after the hefty “holiday” period and people should be flush with money from Christmas and returned gifts. No announcement for Europe as of yet, but I wouldn’t expect it to be too far away.
