Those of us who don’t want to pay over the odds for some of Konami’s classic PS2 games will be glad to know that the Japanese publisher will be re-issuing some of them in the UK.
The first batch of said titles has made me very happy. Having looked on the internet for new (or occassionally used) copies of games such as Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance or Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater I can tell you this has made me a very happy fanboy.
The other games on the list are:
- Suikoden Tactics
- Zone Of The Enders: 2nd Runner
These will be joined later on by:
- Silent Hill 2
- Silent Hill 3
- Silent Hill: The Room
Weirdly, Konami said that you might not see these re-releases in regular chain game shops. Apparently the focus of these is on the independent guys. A nice move Konami, let’s hope I can find me a copy of Substance.
One thing that is weird is that the re-release of MGS3 isn’t the “Subsistance” version. At least that’s not what was said. I shall get onto Konami and ask. Here’s hoping it’s the later version. That one is a better package.
The games will apparently hit retail at £10-20. A great price for great games.
