Another one thanks to Mr. Geoff Keighley and GameTrailers TV here. Alongside the first footage of BioShock 2 was the announcement that Killzone 2 would be getting it’s first batch of downloadable content fairly soon as well as a hint at what’s coming.

The first pack will be called “Steel and Titanium”, which brings some more grey to the world of Killzone 2. The two new maps sound really cool. The first, “New Sun” is set aboard the ISA ‘tech cruiser’ and promises a lot more vertical gameplay. The second, unnamed map, is set aboard two Helghast freight trains which can be jumped between, that is if you’re brave enough [insert evil laugh here].

Guerrilla Games’ boss Herman Hulst also teased that the second pack of DLC would be “retro” and hinted towards Killzone 1 maps appearing as DLC for the new game. That’s something that has been asked for by the fans, it’s nice to see Guerrilla responding.

Although this is a great announcement, I was hoping it would be something to do with the ‘promised’ co-op campaign patch that was talked about before the release of the game. I hope that comes soon.
