Hey, Where Ya Been?

Before I start, I’d first like to wish all of our readers a happy 2011! Last year was really big for TPSN, and we couldn’t have done it without you lot. You might have noticed that the amount of content – particularly on the news side – was a little bit lacking at times during the year. For that, I apologise. We aimed to bring you the big news when we could, but with such a small team it’s hard to keep up. With that in mind we’ve devised a new plan. It should help us maintain a good flow of content and keep everyone updated.

On February 24th, TPSN will be celebrating it’s third year of existence. Like I said before, we wouldn’t have made it this far if it wasn’t for your support. To celebrate we’re redesigning the site. The current layout is cool and all, but some have complained it’s hard to read and it’s not all that easily customizable either. We’ve got a design down and Matt Volp, graphics man extraordinaire, will be looking it over shortly to add his finishing touches. I can’t show you what it’ll be like just yet, but I’ll let you know as soon as possible. With this new design, we’re also looking at a new approach content wise.

As I mentioned before, it’s been hard to keep a breast of information on a regular basis this year. There’s a lot of things need covering out there in PlayStation land. Too much for a small staff. We’ve not really finalized the details as far as news goes as of yet, but what I do know is we’ll be doing a Sony-centric podcast each week that’ll cover all the goings on. That doesn’t mean written news is banished from this domain, but it means we give everything a fair shout. The content isn’t going to slow down though. We’ll still have a good amount of content as far as reviews, previews, podcasts and editorials go. Speaking of which, we hope to have a few editorials a week on some of the harder hitting and topical issues.

So hopefully you can hold out for a while until we’ve got everything sorted out. I’ll be the first to let you know about any chances that might have occurred.

Thanks for reading,

Anthony Barlow
