Hey Look, We’ve Got A New Video Series!
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Matt Volp, a student studying in TPSN’s hometown of Manchester, England. I have been working closely with Anthony over the past few months and I want to take a moment to share with you the latest exciting goings on around ThePlayStatioNetwork. Firstly, we have just launched a brand new YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/TPSNetwork, where all of our video footage will be on display including exclusive interviews with games developers from last year’s Edinburgh Festival and even behind the scenes tours of Dark Energy Digital’s offices, the geniuses behind the PSN game, ‘Inferno Pool’.
As you all know, ThePlayStatioNetwork has come a long way from when it was first born as XeNonX back in early 2008. Since I joined the TPSN team in 2009 as the newly appointed graphic designer, the website has undertaken, and survived, a major face lift and has acquired many new features; TPSN TV and the ‘Downloads’ page to name but a few. Editor in Chief and TPSN front man Anthony Barlow has dedicated a great deal of his time to making sure that ThePlayStatioNetwork brings you, our readers, all of the PS3 goodness that you could possibly ask for. His hard work and commitment to the project has certainly paid off and you should expect nothing less for the year ahead.
Last, but in no means least, we have launched a brand new series of ‘Top 5 Plays’, which will be available to watch every week or so on our YouTube channel and you can catch the first episode after the jump, where Modern Warfare 2 is on the menu, commentated by myself. As you’ll be able to tell from watching episode one, we don’t just want to use PS3 clips, we want to use clips from all platforms, XBOX 360, PC etc. As long as the clip is good, we’ll consider it. Seeing as though the first episode was a success, and Modern Warfare seems to be spending a lot of time in many console’s disc trays, we’ve decided that the second installment of the series will also be a MW2 episode.
So, get your capture card, your video camera or whatever else you use hooked up to your console and get recording your best clips of you shelling out devastation on the battlefield. Send these clips to tpsntop5plays@gmail.com, or alternatively, upload them to a website such as www.filefront.com and send me the link to download them at the same email address.
