Heavy Rain: The Movie?

David Cage doesn’t seem to consider his masterpiece a game and New Line Cinema seem to agree with that vision. It seems that way back when the film giant actually optioned the rights to a movie based on Heavy Rain.

The internet’s very own Scott Shelby – Superannuation – did some sleuthing and found some copyright documents which reveal New Line optioned the rights back in 2006, shortly after the “casting” trailer was revealed at E3.

Of course, this doesn’t mean we’re going to see a Heavy Rain devoid of interaction any time soon. All we know is that if there’s going to be one, New Line will be the one’s behind it. Robbie Coltrane for Shelby anyone?

Heavy Rain is my tip for Game Of The Year 2010. It’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a game Mr. Volp.

I don’t wish to know about your intense personal relationships with certain games Mr. Barlow.
