Heavy Rain Box Art Comparison
Okay, someone please explain this to me. When you hit the jump, you will see both box arts for Quanitc Dream’s upcoming title Heavy Rain. The top will be the UK, and the bottom US (as shown on Amazon.com recently). If someone can logically tell me why SCEA thought making the US box art so much cheesier than the UK’s was a good idea, I will be impressed beyond words. Cover art is important. It gives the first impression to a consumer who knows little to nothing about a given game. I have no idea why the box art for the US was changed from mysterious and intriguing, to something that looks like a theatrical poster to a bad indie film, but it was not necessary. Sometimes less is more, and the box art for the UK makes this evident. Please, leave comments and thoughts on the matter.
