GTA V Codenamed ‘RUSH’?

It appears Superannuation may have uncovered the codename for the next installment of Grand Theft Auto. After ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ appeared on the resume of a motion capture actor, the internet super sleuth went digging and found a number of online casting calls for an “interactive project” by the name of “RUSH”, currently being worked on at Telsey + Company. The same firm Rockstar have used on a number of past projects.

The call is asking for characters that definitely fit within Grand Theft Auto: The “weed evangelist” and “someone incompetent Chinese mobster” being archetypes that fit within the ‘Grand Theft Auto side character’ mold. Other character outlines – “FPS playing gamer son” and “disabled IT expert” especially – suggest that the game will be set in modern times.

Analysts suggest that the game will be announced in the 2012 fiscal year, due to Rockstar North’s contract with Take-Two coming close to expiration.
