Ghostbusters Being Patched With More Pixels
I, like many other critics, bashed Ghostbusters for the issues it had on PS3. Today, developers, Terminal Reality are set to adress this and some of the game’s online issues with a new patch that’s available…now.
Joystiq were told by a TR representative that “The PS3 version … is softer due to the ‘quincunx’ antialiasing filter and the fact we render at about 75% the resolution of the 360 version”. That means we PS3 players were missing 25% of the pixels the Xbox 360 version had.
The new patch is set to re-adress the balance between the two games and “increase in resolution to match that of Xbox 360″. The patch is also set to resolve some of the localization issues players had been having. Apparently, players in Europe and North America playing together could not unlock two of the game’s trophies (Pay Day and Capture All Most Wanted Ghosts) and, for obvious reasons, the game’s super-hard platinum.
Like I said, the patch should be available to download now. So bustin’ can make you feel even better, if that makes sense.
