In a showcase held in New York last night (why weren’t you on this Ryan?!) Sony announced that, their innovative PS Eye based game, EyePet will be released this Christmas in North America.

The game will apparently be available as a standalone, but there will be a game and PS Eye bundle also on store shelves. Something that makes a lot of sense.

The game had only previously been touted as a European release after it’s showing at last years German Games Convention in Leipzig. In my mind, it only seems right that the game would hit other markets.
