EyePet Delayed In North America

There’s a whole bunch of ‘family friendly’ titles on the PlayStation 3, many of which have been a hit with the people of Europe, but not really anywhere else. Sony confirmed to IGN yesterday that, London Studio’s, EyePet has been delayed in North America until April 2010.

It doesn’t really come as a surprise, most of the marketing push has been focused on Europe, something I certainly saw as a bad move. Sony have always stressed the importance of their ‘family’ games and EyePet could’ve been the piece of software to, finally, launch the movement across the pond.

It was announced, last month at TGS, that the game would be getting support for Sony’s motion controller. Maybe SCEA see EyePet as something that could boost sales of this new product, rather than it being something to attract those who already own a PlayStation 3.

However, if you really want it, you could just import it.
