White Wolf Canceled?

It has emerged that the console version on CD Projekt’s RPG The Witcher might have been canceled.

I was really looking forward to playing it and, by all accounts it’s sort of like “magic KOTOR”, something that definitely appeals to me. Well it would do if I don’t have to upgrade my PC to play it.

The game’s possible cancellation has been brought to light by polish games site Polygamia who have sources that indicate that the game will be cancelled. Joystiq have since contacted CDProjekt, who weere unable to confirm the status of the game and that any news would be released via official channels. An Atari spokesman was also as ‘helpful’ in deciphering the situation.

It worries me that no one seems to have the faintest idea about what’s going on, or they can’t talk about it. The PS3 needs more RPG’s and here’s hoping that Rise Of The White Wolf will be one of them.
