Burnout Trophy Patch Is Live, No Retroactivity

[By Anthony]

I was really eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Burnout: Paradise trophy patch, expecting to boot the game up and be showered in, well, Bronze. That was not the case. Criterion claimed that the trophy patch for Burnout would be retroactive but we, like many others, have found out this is not true. Hit the jump to hear what Criterion had to say on the matter.

Burnout Paradise saves are locked to your profile. We had hoped to use this to retroactively award trophies, but we discovered during testing that this is not possible. You will therefore require a fresh game-save to receive trophies in Burnout Paradise. If you’re familiar with PS3 trophies already, you’ll recognise that this works in the same way as all other games that have added trophy support post-release.

It’s a bit of a shame I had to start my game again, but on the bright side Ad’s has picked up the game and it’s awesome going for all those Billboards, Jumps and such. If you’ve not got it, go buy it now.
