1Up: Yakuza 3 Coming West

The Yakuza series was one of the most underrated of the last generation, so I, like many others, were saddened when it appeared that Yakuza 3 wouldn’t be hitting Western shores. After multiple glimmers of hope, all of which soon faded, it seems that us Westerners might be getting the game after all.

1Up are reporting that sources close to the project have said Yakuza 3 is now being localised for European and North American markets. The news comes after, SEGA rep, Aaron Webber spoke of the possibility the game could come to the west and that the idea is often discussed internally at SEGA.

This seems like good news for Yakuza fans. I don’t think we’ll ever see an English language version of Yakuza Kenzan though.
